Research

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in our Research Associates Program. The Jack H. Skirball Center for Cardiovascular Research, Research Associates Program attracts scholars from around the world. We train leaders who will function as practitioners, teachers and researchers. Research Associates are trained for 12 - 24 months with progressive structured experience in state-of-the-art interventional and research techniques. Research Associates will develop skills at the end of the program that will enable them to function as independent experimental researchers.

How to Apply

  • Deadline - December 31st
  • Applications are reviewed in January
  • Interviews are held by invitation only in February and March

  • A personal statement describing your research interests and experience, and your detailed career goals
  • Three current letters of recommendation
  • A copy of your Medical Student Performance Evaluation (formerly known as the Deans Letter)
  • A valid ECFMG certificate if available (if you graduated from medical school outside of the United States or Canada)

Note: No interviews will be granted without a completed application.
